Your First Visit to Our Livermore Practice

You will be warmly welcomed and made to feel at home. Help is on its way!

You can expect us to begin helping you get better on the first day. The first visit typically includes some paperwork, an examination, x-rays if necessary, a recommendation for care, and the first treatment. This usually takes about 30 minutes, but can last up to 1 hour.

As you enter the office you'll be greeted by one or more of our warm, kindhearted chiropractic assistants: Elizabeth, Eleanor, Gail, Kristie or Astrid. One of them will be assigned to your case and almost literally take you by the hand and lead you through your first visit from the instant you walk through the door to the moment you leave.

Dr. Alexander Asks some important questions of interest to Livermore residents - Chiropractor Livermore Dr. Alexander Asks...

Can someone who has had back surgery receive chiropractic care?
Yes. Rest assured that we will avoid the surgically modified areas of your spine. However, what we find is that surgical interventions will often produce spinal instability above or below the involved level. This is will be the focus of your chiropractic care.
Where do most Livermore residents get their first vertebral subluxation?
Being born in a hospital is a common source of vertebral subluxation. Trauma from forceps delivery has been replaced with drugs, vacuum extraction, Cesarean section and births that are "scheduled" to fit the workweek routines of Ob-Gyns. That's why we recommend a chiropractic checkup for every Livermore newborn.
