Meet Dr. Marc Jude Santos
Dr. Marc’s inspiration for becoming a chiropractor started when he was a Chief Medical Scribe at an ER here in Northern California. He recalls a few instances where patients kept on coming back for some type of musculoskeletal pain and, most of the time, were prescribed medication to help them get pain relief. Dr. Marc saw that they kept returning and weren’t finding any results.
“One of the ER doctors I worked with decided to refer those patients to a chiropractor. And that’s how I got to know more about chiropractic.”
After talking with the doctor about chiropractic and learning more about it, Dr. Marc realized he could see himself becoming a chiropractor. “I am a nerd for the human body, especially muscles and joints, and I like studying all of that.” Chiropractic allowed him to use his skills and abilities to provide the right care to each patient.
Education & Areas of Interest
In 2019, Dr. Marc earned his bachelor’s in Kinesiology (with an emphasis in exercise science and a minor in biology) from Sacramento State University. He went on to earn his Doctor of Chiropractic from Life Chiropractic College West in 2023.
To further his education, he plans to pursue an Active Release Technique certification and be a Certified Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner (CCEP).
Finding Fulfillment Helping Patients
For Dr. Marc, the most rewarding aspect of being a chiropractor is seeing his patients progress throughout their care. Seeing them from Day One, suffering from their condition, and then seeing their face brighten the more they progress through the treatment plan is gratifying for him. “That’s the best feeling ever, to witness them go from this negative energy to brightening like sunshine and becoming more cheery.”
Outside the Practice
In his spare time, Dr. Marc enjoys working out—particularly weightlifting—whenever he can, playing video games, traveling, and spoiling his cat.
