Meet Dr. My Vo
Some careers start with a plan. Others start with a moment that doesn’t sit right. For Dr. My Vo, chiropractic came after years of watching people chase short-term relief that still left them feeling stuck.
Before earning his chiropractic degree, Dr. Vo served four years in the U.S. Navy as a pharmacy technician at Naval Air Station Jacksonville. During that time, he dispensed a lot of pain medication and noticed a pattern: patients weren’t feeling better, they were often returning upset, and many needed stronger prescriptions over time. That experience pushed him toward a different kind of health care, one focused on finding what’s driving the problem instead of covering it up.
Education and a Practical, Patient-First Style
Dr. Vo earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose, graduating in 2024. His care style is known for being gentle, detailed, and thoughtful. Patients frequently tell him they appreciate how thoroughly he evaluates concerns, explains findings, and tailors care to what their body can handle.
He believes you shouldn’t feel rushed through a visit or left guessing about what’s happening. Expect clear communication, steady progress, and a plan that makes sense for your daily life.
Tools And Techniques That Fit Real Life
Dr. Vo’s approach blends chiropractic adjustments with hands-on muscle and soft tissue work, plus in-office options when appropriate. He enjoys using trigger point therapy for targeted relief, especially when tight areas keep pulling the body back into the same patterns. He also has experience with spinal decompression, which can be a helpful option for certain disc-related concerns, and he’s trained in modalities like shockwave and laser therapy.
Care isn’t one-size-fits-all. Sometimes less is more. Sometimes the body needs a few different inputs working together. The goal is to help you move better, recover more comfortably, and get back to the things you actually want to do.
What Patients Notice Right Away
Patients often describe Dr. Vo as calm, attentive, and thorough. He takes pride in doing the “small things” well, the exam, the explanation, the follow-through. One of his first patients from chiropractic school still chooses to see him, even with a long drive involved, and that kind of trust means a lot to him.
Life Beyond The Adjustment Table
Dr. Vo is a family man. He and his wife, Hoa, have been married for nine years and are raising two young children. When he has free time, he enjoys the gym and riding a motorcycle. He’s owned a BMW S1000RR and used to ride regularly with a motorcycle club, where he even served as the safety officer.
