Prep Your Body for Manteca's August 17 Community 5K

Runner stretchingManteca’s annual Run for the Health of It is back this August, and the entire community is invited to participate. Whether you’re aiming to clock a fast 5K time or just planning to walk with the kids and enjoy the morning air, this event is all about moving for wellness.
The event kicks off on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at 8:00 am. Registration opens at 6:45 am, and runners start gathering at the starting line at 7:45 am. Your $44.99 fee includes a race T-shirt. The purpose of the event is to support health and well-being within the Manteca community.

Whether you’re training hard or just showing up for some Sunday fun, now’s the perfect time for a spinal check-up. When your body is properly aligned, every step feels easier—and recovery is often faster as well.

“Even a short race can be tough if your body’s compensating for misalignments,” says Dr. Matt Alexander, your Manteca chiropractor. “A quick tune-up can help your stride feel smoother and your energy go further.”

Why Alignment Matters for Runners and Walkers

Your spine is more than just your back; it’s central to how your entire body moves. Poor posture, past injuries, or tight muscles can affect your gait, putting extra stress on your knees, hips, and ankles. Chiropractic care helps restore your body’s balance, allowing you to move freely and efficiently.

Techniques Tailored to Your Goals

Every runner’s body tells a different story. That’s why Dr. Alexander takes time to assess your alignment and tailor your care. Techniques like Chiropractic BioPhysics® and Active Release Technique® are used to improve mobility, reduce discomfort, and support natural motion.

“If you’re dealing with tightness, stiffness, or an old injury that flares up when you train, don’t push through it,” advises Dr. Alexander. “There’s usually a fix—and often it’s simpler than you think.”

Convenient Care in the Heart of Manteca

Located near North Sherman Avenue, Alexander Chiropractic is easy to reach before the Sunday morning start line. The office welcomes runners and walkers of all ages, with a friendly, bilingual team and flexible scheduling to fit your routine.
